The Dumbledore's Army students were filling into the Room of Requirement on the first Tuesday back from winter holidays. Hermione went to stand with Ginny
"Hi Ginny"
"Hello Hermione, it's exciting to be back."
"Yeah it is, I know Harry's excited too."
Ginny paused and had a strange expressed on her face.
"Ugh what is that smell?" Ginny said while she pinched her nose in disgust
Ginny started smelling the general area and moved in closer to Hermione. Ginny stopped.
"Hermione, um, no offense but you reek!"
"Really? Uh I'm wearing a new perfume I got for Christmas." said Hermione
"Well does the person who bought it for you have smelling issues?" Ginny asked
"Ron actually bought it for me." Hermione confessed
"Are you kidding? I mean-" Ginny was cut of by Harry's opening words.
"I hope you all had a wonderful holiday, but we need to get back on track. So in order to do that, let's break into small groups and begin practicing what we learned before the break. I'll walk around and assist. Okay let's get started!"
Hermione looked back over to Ginny, and she was gone. So Hermione went over to Parvati and Lavender.
Meanwhile…
"You gave Hermione a horrendous smelling perfume!" Ginny stated
"How do you know?" asked Ron
"She is wearing it tonight, ugh it reeks, get better taste Ron."
Ginny then walked and went to practice with Luna and Neville.
Ron didn't care if Ginny thought it smelled bad, she was wearing it and that's all that matters.
Hermione looked over at a giddy-faced Ron. She had a slight smile dancing on her lips too.
