Lex Resurfaces
Lex Luthor walks into a room. The room is full of reporters. Lex walks to a podium and prepares to make a statement at the press conference. Lex clears his throat and adjusts the microphone. "Good evening, I understand that it is confusing that I am back. After all, shouldn't I be dead? But the truth is I wasn't," crowd gasps, Lex continues, "I have a legitimate reason for faking my supposed death. You see, I was on the run from an enemy, an enemy who was out to get me. That enemy's name is Winslow Schott, the man whom everyone calls the Toy man. He wanted revenge on me for refusing to hire him after he had been terminated at Queen Industries. I guess that he snapped and well you get the rest. The point is, is that I'm back and I don't plan on going anywhere. Now I have time for a few questions."
Reporters immediately start shouting at Lex and raising their hands, demanding that he picks on them. Lex spots a reporter that he recognizes from his past, his long distant past which he had mysteriously forgotten. Lex only knew certain facts about his life which he had looked up on the internet and other sources.
Lex pointed at the reporter. The reporter asked a question in a very harsh and hateful voice "Isn't it funny that your return happened shortly after the death of Tess Mercer?" Lex couldn't figure out why this reporter had so much hate towards him but he didn't care at the moment, since the only thing that he currently cares about at the moment is preserving his public image. "The truth is my return did have something to do with the death of Tess Mercer. With her dead my company was left vulnerable for enemies to take over and I couldn't just sit there and allow my company to be run to the ground by that criminal, Oliver Queen," Lex answered, "Any other questions?"
Another reporter, who wore glasses and looked very geeky, raised his hand. Lex also recognized this reporter too. But unlike the other reporter whose feelings he had for here were ambiguous, the feelings that he had towards this reporter was filled with nothing but hate and Lex didn't know why. Lex pointed at the geeky looking reporter. "So what are your plans now that your back?" the reporter asked. "Well even though I will continue running Luthorcorp, which I will rename to Lexcorp, I've grown tired of the business world and have decided to look into politics…."
