On a warm afternoon, Isaac found himself alone in his house. He was chatting with Hazel via Skype. The two of them were planning a surprise party for Gus.
At the same time, Isaac's mother had taken his little brother Graham to the doctor. Graham started feeling some burning behind his eyes. Isaac's mother was concerned that Graham may have the same illness that blinded Isaac.
They came home a few hours later. Isaac was in the bathroom when he heard his brother softly crying. He was both curious and worried. Isaac approached his little brother and asked what was going on. It turned out that little Graham was indeed suffering from the same illness that Isaac had suffered from and ultimately lost his eyesight from.
Poor Isaac went pale upon hearing that. He put his arms around Graham and hugged the boy who cried deeply out of fear of his fate.
"Don't worry little bro," he said, "I will protect you and be there for you every story of the way."
"You promise?"
"Yes," Isaac said, "I love you and I'll be there for you with every fiber of my being."
