"I don't get it."

Hermione looked up from the latest spell book she was reading and looked at her companion with mild interest. "Don't get what?"

"This," he held up the small, offending object. He thrust the object at Hermione, her book falling from her lap. Hermione shook her head, smirking at him as she held in her laughter.

"It's just a muggle toy," she shrugged her shoulders. "A children's puzzle."

"I should be able to solve it. If muggles can, I can," he narrowed his eyes.

Hermione let out a chuckle that reverberated throughout the room as she retrieved her fallen book.

"What are you laughing at Granger?" Hermione raised her eyes and found him directly in front of her. He braced his hands on the couch, one hand on either side behind her head. He was so close that she could feel his breath on her face, feel the heat that radiated from his body.

"Well?" he raised an eyebrow at her just before his gaze dropped her mouth.

Hermione smirked and shook her head, biting her lower lip, his presence making her nervous. Then he was kissing her and the forgotten Rubik's Cube fell to the floor.

Authors Note: A double-drabble of exactly 200 words. In response to an old challenge I had written down in which I had to have two characters, a Rubik's cube and a book.
