Summary:
Welcome to Mystic Falls, Virginia a typical small town where everyone knows everyone and everybody knows everybody else's business, or so they say. Mystic Falls just might be the exception to that urban legend because secrets here have been swept under the rug for over a decade and no one knows that more than Caroline Forbes. This is her story about finding her way home to a family she didn't know she already had. As an unexpected stranger complicates things he also pulls her out of her shell and competes to steal a spot in her heart. However, along the way her friends and family, which are often one in the same struggle with their own family secrets, demons and internal battles to become better people because in the end they're all just people, like us.
