"Hey, Evans," I greet the most beautiful girl in our year, grinning cheerfully.
"Go away," she snaps back, barely stopping her conversation with Snivellus for a second.
"Aw, don't be like that! I just wanted to ask if you want to go on a date with me."
"Not on your life, Potter," she replies coolly.
I keep a big grin on my face, but it was the first time Lily Evans broke my heart.
