"Here!" Pinkie tossed a purple balloon at Kululu. "We're gonna have fun until Twilight decides to keep you!"

Twilight. He drew her face on the balloon with a marker.

'This feeling...it's so strange...love...'

The balloon popped in his face.

"Oopsie! I'll get another one!" She bounced off.

"Great." Kululu sat there silently. He had freaking kissed a girl. Finally did it. And what did he get? Dumped. Dumped at Pinkie's all night.

"I just want to be loved," he sighed. Pinkie walked in the room in time to hear him say that. She hid to see what else Kululu would do.

"I guess that's too much to ask for. I'm a freak. Sadist. Whatever. I've heard it all. But this...this is different. I thought maybe...maybe this once...something could go right for me. Wrong. Now I'm here. Why did I even come here? Why did I build the dang machine? Why did Twilight have to be the one to find us? If she hadn't, then I wouldn't be suffering. Then again...I would've died uncaring or something. Why is this so confusing?!" He threw his glasses at the wall, unsuccessful at breaking them. Kululu put them back on and sulked in the corner.

'I don't think I've ever seen anypony so sad,' Pinkie thought. She slowly sat in front of him. She couldn't tell, but his eyes were closed. But she was surprised to see a tear.

"K-Kululu?"

He jumped slightly.

"Um...it...it'll be oka-"

"But what if it isn't?!" He spat. "I hate everything. And you're annoying, ku ku ku. Just put me in the street, hmm? Maybe a carriage will hit me. Or a stampede."

"But...that's not very nice..." Pinkie whispered.

"Screw nice. Nice is bad. Nice is...nice."

"What about love?"

Kululu paused.

"You know...I really don't know anymore...a gift or curse?"

"Gift. Gifts are always good."

"Nuh uh, I sent Keroro a Nyroro once."

"A what?" She tilted her head.

"Never mind." Kululu suddenly raised his head. "I've never had such a deep conversation with someone before. Hm. Whatever. I'm gonna go be depressed again."

Pinkie leaned over and whispered something in his ear. Something he'd never forget. He looked at her, surprised, then started crying into her mane. She comforted him all night.

"Let your smile change the world. Don't let the world change your smile."
