There was only one place that could show you all the stars so close that you could reach out for them and the heir of the moon danced around under them, his arms outstretched and his usually troubled face broken into a smile only a child should be allowed to ever wear. Anything else would be to tempting.

"There was a midnight, the sudden twilight..." His voice never broke and was smooth and exclusive, fitting his body at the moment perfectly. He was like a river, moving with such strength and determination, yet managed to make it look like play. Arms used to years of swinging a katana had no trouble keeping up with the odd flow going this way, then that way.

"I'll build a castle for you and your family if you want!" Dark hair swayed, the heavenly voice never ending the song.

"Oh yeah?" The observer asked, smiling softer then he would in day-time. "How?" He wondered.

"I'll build it next to a shore, use the softest sand as its deepest ground and take down the stars, what ever star you want, and make it your protectors and the windows that shall shelter you from the words of scary people." The dancer sang, flowing past to make the moon-rays sparkle upon his face in delight.

"You're crazy." The observer informed fondly.

"You put smiles on my face, makes me love like time and space does not belong. On your demand I shall pull the heavens down." The song informed. "And then we'll both be kind of shaky!" A laugh was quickly camouflaged as part of the verse. "Just never look behind, then the spell is broken down and there'll be no sound of heavens descend."

"Oh?"

"There'll be no fortress fighting waves away from your dreams then."

"Yeh, well I'm sure my mama will be grateful for that. She would go insane, having to dust all those halls in you're sand-castle."

"We are all in some way crazy. I'm tired of wasting life."

"What?" The observer blinked and sought out the dancing swordsman. A fast twist of his body and he was three inches away from his face, beaming at the shocked expression of his observer.

"Yeah, what star do you want? Point it out for me and I'll give it to you now." The observer raised his eyebrows and said nothing. "Geeeenmaaaa...." This was the fist time the tune left the dancers words. Somehow it sounded more delicious then the angelic lull. "Tell me what star I shall give you..."

"I'm not wishing for a star." He answered. The heir of heaven pouted and made to move away. Genma grabbed his wrist and tugged him back. "Oh no, sweet Hayate... I'm after the moon." The delighted smile that lit up the brunettes face right then was too beautiful to not try and eat. Genma wasn't sure whether he failed or not but he couldn't really care.

After all, he'd just been given the moon.
