A.N: Trying to get back into the whole writing thing. Not too happy about this but considering it has been at least 3 or 4 years since I last wrote anything I don't think I should expect much of myself, especially since I wasn't great to begin with.

1. Lily had been thinking on it a lot; she wanted exactly two children. Two children who would play together and love the other and never let anything come between them. They would be what she and Petunia weren't.

2. When it came down to the basic truth, what they are were captives in their own home. Prisoners have endless hours to think, about anything really. Lily thought about Severus. About how they'd grown up together and how she loved him very much and if she'd just tried a little harder. When this was over, when they'd made sure Harry was safe, she'd go to him. Lily knew Severus, knew him like he was a part of her. He was a good man; he just needed someone to believe in him.

3. When James looked at Lily's rounded belly he couldn't help but think about all the wonderful things he'd teach his son, from how to turn someone's hair into a medusa's crown, to successfully infiltrating Hogsmead before third year. And when James eventually caught Sirius' happy smile and Remus' longing gaze he knew he couldn't wait to teach his son about acceptance and how much a real family could love.

4. James and Sirius had sneakily concocted a list of all the things they were going to teach Harry before was probably an appropriate time. First on the list was teaching Harry to fly before his first birthday, sixth was pimping Harry out James Dean style (he was a very cool muggle according to Sirius) and getting him to ride Sirius' motorbike solo, fifteenth was very special to both their hearts and consisted of getting Harry laid before his age of majority.

5. Despite the dastardly duos best efforts Lily still found it. They, however, didn't know that she knew; for surely they'd both be dead by the time James' loving wife got down to number nine. Unfortunately for them, contrary to her first instinct Lily did not confront them. Instead she made a list of her own; it consisted of all the ways she'd painfully humiliate them if they even so much as completed Number One.
