I've become distracted lately, and I decided that I wanted to try something from Clare's perespective... Should I continue this? I hope so.. haha This seems a little different than what I would normally write, and I would like to try something new. I know it's short, but the first chapter will be long if you review and tell me what you think.

New year, new you. Isn't that the saying? It wasn't that I didn't like myself, I just felt I needed a change. I cut my hair and changed my style. It wasn't much, but it was enough to make me feel pretty, at least I thought I was pretty.
It was the start of grade 10, and I was excited. Alli and I would be taking similar classes, and for once everything was perfect. There were no cheating boyfriends or silly rumors about what someone had done the night before. A fresh start was what my mom had said to me. Perfect.
Boy, was I wrong.
I mean grade 10 started off great, but by the middle of the school year, I was praying my escape would come sooner. Who would've thought Clare Diana Edwards would have to deal with the effects of a failing marriage, boyfriend issues, a missing best friend, and maintaining passing grades all in one year? I would have never guessed it.
I know you're all thinking, "This is going to be another one of those stories where girl meets boy. Girl falls in love. Boy and girl run off." Well, you're wrong. My life is far from perfect.
I'll give you a basic outline of what's to come: boyfriend(s), writing, friendships, and music. The last one's there to throw you off. ;) It's not as fun as you think it'll be, but maybe, I'm starting to draw you in.
