(This story includes a little bit of fluff, not much. You've been warned!)
As Astrid stood in the academy, listening to hiccup rant about the importance of the gronckle's flight powers, she couldn't help but notice the enamored look on Ruffnut's face when Fishlegs slipped in a comment.
"The gronckle's first impression on people is that they are slow and ineffective, but their powerful fire blasts are extremely lethal", Fishlegs proudly said.
"Great now we know something that you could find out just by making it mad", Tuffnut said with a smirk.
After class Astrid was flying home, and got a short glance of two figures sneaking around in the woods. She flew down and landed towards the edge of the woods and simply followed the footprints, only to lead her to the sight she thought she would never see. There, in the woods was Ruffnut and Fishlegs making out.
"Well! Well! Well! And you guys joke about Hiccup and I, this is ridiculous!" Astrid said
Ruffnut jumped back away from Fishlegs startled at the sudden intrusion.
She closed in on Astrid, saying "If you dare tell anyone! Especially my brother, I will kill you!"
"Please Astrid, I'm already made fun of because of my brains, I don't need to be known for being in love with a twin", Fishlegs said with a beggars voice.
"Fine! Just stop talking! You're both annoying me", Astrid yelled.
Astrid left, happy yet a little ticked off at her discovery. They think that since they're opposites they'll be made fun of?! Hiccup and I are opposites yet were fine.
"I will never understand love, especially they're love", mumbled Astrid as she walked into the house.
"Whose love?" said Ingrid.
"uhh… me and Hiccups of course!" Astrid desperately said.
"Did you know that your eyes twitch to the left every time you lie? Yours just did twice, now, whose love?" She said slowly moving towards me.
"Um…. Yours and dads, no Snotlout and I, no! no, no, definitely not, um…." Astrid ranted.
"Stop lying and tell me the truth young lady", Ingrid said angrily.
"I can't, I promised", Astrid said.
"Well then, why didn't you say that in the first place?" Ingrid said.
"I don't know…."
