The Yearly 365 Challenge

Prompt #330 (Restriction) No word 'said'

Frowning as he glared down at the paper.

"What's bothering you baby?" Asked Melody as she rested her head on her boyfriend's tight shoulder.

"It's this freaking assigment." Chuck growled low in his throat. "I hate the fact that we have to write with a restriction."

"What can you do." Melody sighed as she looked at the bold printed words on the worksheet.

Chuck smiled. He turned his eyes onto his current girlfriend of three weeks. "What can we do? I know what we can do baby." He wrapped his arms around her thin waist and pulled the tall lanky blonde closer to him. He breathed against her lips.

"We have to finish this assigment Chuck." Melody pulled slightly back from him.

"No baby we don't." Chuck growled as he pulled her tighter against him. "We have much better things to do baby." He pressed his lips roughly against her closed lips.

Melody tried pushing him away from her. But he just tightened his hold on her. She finally managed to jerk her mouth off of his. "Stop this Chuck Clayton!" She tried to get away from him; but he tightened his hold. "Let me go Chuck." She spoke with slight worry in her voice.

"I'm not going to hurt you Mel." Chuck allowed his body to relax. "I just want to be with you." He still felt her slight shakes. He carefully removed his arms from her. He stood up from the table, and walked away. "I'm sorry Mel." He husked out as he stared into her worried tearful eyes.

"I think we need to keep ourselves to just hand holding." Melody looked into her boyfriend's sad eyes. "I care deeply for you Chuck. I honesty see us going long distance. But," She sighed deeply as she stood up. She made her way over to him. "We need to talk openly and honesty with one another." Her hand rose to gently stroke the side of his face.

"I haven't blown it with you?" Chuck whispered as he stared into Melody's eyes.

Melody softly smiled. "Of course not." She tilted her head. "You stopped when I told you too. You stopped yourself Chuck." She moved closer, and leaned up slightly to kiss his cheek. "I think we can kiss one another on the cheeks; and foreheads."

"Ok." Chuck whispered. He didn't try to kiss her again. He was afraid that he may go a little future then he wanted. Breathing in and out for a few moments. "We best get this assigment done." He nodded towards the table.

Melody smiled and took his hand; and led him back to the dining room table.
