Led On

Cassandra's sharp claws raked across Alonzo's face.

Alonzo stepped back, stunned, as Cassandra began to sing.

"How could you
Think that you
Could treat me that way?
Telling me
On the phone
That things would be okay
Even though you never made
Time to spend with me,
I still believed
Every word
That you said would be

"I was led on
Left out in the cold
I was led on
Thinking everything was okay
Led on
By your every word
Don't ever say that we could be
'Cause you don't know me."

At that moment, Bombalurina sauntered up and did the same thing as Cassandra had done just moments before.

Again, Alonzo staggered backwards in shock.

Cassandra watched the other queen. "You too?" she asked sympathetically.

Instead of replying, Bombalurina also began to sing.

"Times have changed
Since the day
That you and me were one
Looking now
At where I am
And how I feel so strong
Thinking that I needed you
And that we had just begun
Now I think
You should know
That you and I are done

"I was led on
Left out in the cold
I was led on
Thinking everything was okay
Led on
By your every wordDon't ever say that we could be…"

Alonzo held up his paws in a defensive position and began to slowly back away. "Whoa, calm down, ladies. I don't know what you're going on about."

The two queens exchanged furious glances and slowly advanced towards Alonzo.

"We are strong
We are brave
We will fight
Every day
Nothing can
Stop us now
Nothing will
Bring us down

"We were led on
Left out in the cold
We were led on
Thinking everything was okay
Led on
By your every word
Don't ever say that we could be…"

"Ladies…"

"We were led on
Left out in the cold
We were led on
Thinking everything was okay
Led on
By your every word
Don't ever say that we could be…"

"Wait –"

Both queens once more clawed the tom's face. Triumphantly, they sang one last line before storming off:

"'Cause you don't know me!"
