Having seen the first three seasons of Blake's 7, season 2 would be my favourite. There's many reasons for that, but one of them is the episode where Travis is court martialled. I like how it adds some depth to the Federation, that while the Federation itself is a brutal, despotic regime, there are some morally sound individuals working in it.
Anyway, drabbled this up as an extension of that.
Chain of Command
Travis was a sodden fellow,
Who I'm sorry to say.
Was a terrible human being,
In every single way.

With only one organic eye,
Indeed he looked the part.
Of a ruthless, brutal commander,
And a traitorous upstart.

His tactics so brutal,
His tactics ineffective.
Failed to catch his quarry,
His assessments not objective.

The Federation's better,
Than such brutish COs.
So into distant memory,
This wastrel shall go.

Now to the future we look,
To secure domination.
To move hard and swift and fast,
Without hesitation.

Provided by our power.
