I know I should be writing another chapter for Muggleborn & Pureblood in the Wild, but I had to do a writing exercise for school, so I thought I could post it as well. Hope you like it!

Disclaimer: I still don't own Harry Potter.

She'd never thought she'd make it this far, but she did.

Hermione had always dreamt of a career as musician, but everyone had always told her to forget about it. Her parents had often yelled to her about how she shouldn't waste her time playing the guitar. Then Scott Borchetta saw her video on YouTube and he had called her. Everything had changed since that day. She'd left all her friend and family behind and was currently living in an apartment in Nashville, said friends and family weren't really happy with her choice. They will come around, that's what she used to tell herself.

Right now, she was standing on a big stage in Madison Square, rehearsing her performance for tonight. It felt wonderful to stand there, but she still wished her loved ones were there to support her...

That night was crazy, people constantly dragged her to different places to get dressed, get her make-up done, to go through last minute checks to make sure she knew all the lyrics... She was sick of it. The woman who fixed her hair kept telling her she was lucky to perform in Madison Square, but Hermione didn't feel pretty, she just felt used.

She had only two minutes left before she had to go up on stage when she made her decision. She didn't take it anymore, she was going to leave. She ran out of the building and rushed towards the airport. She tossed away her heels and wiped off her make-up in the toilet of the plane.

She arrived in New York a few hours later. She was still wearing her beautiful red dress when she started walking. When she arrived she took a deep breath and knocked the door. Draco Malfoy opened it.

'Draco, I've been so stupid...' Hermione started.

But she was cut off by Draco's lips. They shared a passionate kiss and looked deep in each other's eyes when they parted.

'I'm only happy you found your way home again.'
