Dragon's pepper.

Tohru was cooking a meal for Kobayashi and Kanna when she heard on the tv news of a new food called "Dragon's Breath."

Kobayashi saw the same report. "Uh, no Tohru. They said it can be fatal if you were to eat it." Kanna was busy with eating some chocolate and not paying attention, focused on her favorite human snack.

Tohru sat by Kobayashi. " I can handle anything like those peppers. Besides, it said not for humans to eat. So a dragon like me can instead." Kobayashi sighed, "Ok Tohru, just becareful."

Later that day.

Elma, Fafnir,and Lucoa along with Shota,and Riko were at the apartment. Tohru smiling. "I heard of this new hot pepper recently that is called the Dragon's Breath that I was curious to try. As humans being weak can't try it without dying I decided to try one myself." She opened the box of the newly delivered peppers and took one out. It was tiny, the size of a pea, bright red, and according to the label, dangerously spicy. "So who would like to take part?" Tohru asked.

Fafnir shook his head, "No thanks. If it's not mild, it would not agree with me." Lucoa abstained as well. That only left Elma. "Well, I don't know." She began. Tohru then chuckled. "Scared? You're a dragon. Humans can't eat these." This ticked off the water dragon and she glared at Tohru. Their rivalry still not over with. "That so? I have you know I have tried many human food in my time. This is nothing to me." Lucoa and Fafnir shook their heads and the three kids looked on surprised. They wouldn't dare do this either.

"Ok. You're on. The first to fail has to cook for the rest of us. No water or anything to lessen the burn of the pepper." Elma said. Tohru and Elma shook hands. Both not going to lose. "May the best win."

Lucoa had the two sit at the table and she held a stop watch in her hand.

Elma and Tohru sat opposite one another. The two holding a handful of peppers each. "You know the rules. One 3. One, two…three!" Lucoa said and started the watch and Tohru and Elma began stuffing the peppers in one by one. Fafnir and the others watched as the two dragons's faces turned red and halfway between fully finishing her handful, Toru stopped and fell over, peppers on the table as she groaned and held her gut. Elma smiled as she kept eating the entire handful of peppers. Elma stood up, "YES! I wo…" Elma then collapsed, joining Tohru on the floor, in pain and holding her stomach. Both crying as their bellies felt like they were on fire.

A couple hours later. Kobayashi got home, tired. She noticed Kanna sitting there. "Kanna where is Tohru?" Kanna sighed, "Lady Elma and Lady Tohru were fighting and both are hurt. They're in the bedroom." The young dragon said as she shook her head.

Kobayashi walked into her bedroom after setting her stuff down and found Elma and Tohru shaking and crying. "Why won't this burning stop!" Tohru cried. "It's your fault!" Elma screamed back. Kobayashi sighed. "What did you do?" Tohru looked up seeing Kobayashi, tears in her eyes. "A duel and we both lost. My stomach burns!" Tohru whined again.

Kanna walked in and handed Kobayashi the bag of peppers. Kobayashi looked at the bag. "I warned you Tohru. And you had Elma do this too?" At hearing her name, Elma answered. "I did this on my own human! Damn this hurts!" Elma continued, the Harmony and Chaos dragons sharing their pain from their own egos getting in the way of common sense. Kobayashi went to sit on the couch and left the two to their misery and maybe learn from it.
