Although you'll never realize
Although you'll never see
You're all I really need
To live forever happily
When I extend my hand
You simply push away
The sparkle leaves my eyes
But in my heart you'll stay
Sometimes I'll pause to wonder
Did you ever feel it, too?
But then my question's answered
With a solemn gaze from you
And though my tears will drown me
As I cry myself to sleep
In my dreams you'll hold me
And over the moon I'll leap
It's times like these I wonder
Do you ever dream of me?
This time I'll fall asleep laughing
How inane can I be?
But in my heart I know I hope
I'll drift across your mind
Even for a second
A single, little time
If you decide you need me
If you ever want to try
I'll be here always and forever
Standing with arms wide
And although you'll never realize
