Rain fell heavily from the sky, pounding the earth below. Forest animals of all kinds were taking shelter the best way they could. At least, some were. In the middle of a clearing, stood two powerful toms their fur plastered to their bodies as the rain continued to fall. One, a large reddish tabby with amber eyes drew his lips back angrily as he snarled at the muscular brown tom with green eyes, and white paws. "You're bold for trespassing on my clan's territory during such a storm. Did you think no cat would be patrolling the boarders?" The reddish tabby demanded angrily as he took one step forward toward his enemy. The muscular brown feline chuckled, "I did actually, your clan despises water so I truly believed you wouldn't be so mouse-brained to come out in such perfect weather for my clan to take some prey." Was this tom insane? He just admitted to attempting to steal prey from another clan, a huge problem within the forest and it was strictly against their forest laws.

"Tell me, how's your lovely little mate Silverice? I do miss her so very much." The brown tom laughed, his intentions were to now get under the toms' skin. And it was working. "Silverice is no longer your concern!" The reddish tabby spat angrily as he lunged forward with his claws extended. Quickly, his opponent dodges and forcefully pinned him to the muddy ground, "Oh but she is, you see. Silverice and I still see each other secretly. She says I am the love of her life, she just decided to use you as a clan mate so she wouldn't look disloyal. Why do you think she hasn't revealed she's expecting kits?" His claws raked the tabby's skull, he could feel blood oozing from the wounds being inflicted. Kits? Silverice said nothing of kits! Slowly, the brown tom leaned down, "the kits are not yours, they are mine." Lightning flashed and without a moment of hesitation the brown tom bit into the tabby's neck, crushing his wind pipe and killing him instantly.

From the shadows stepped an absolutely gorgeous silver she-cat with sparkling purple eyes, her belly swollen with kits. "You've finally freed me from him," she mewed in a seductive voice as she padded closer to him. The tom purred and pressed his muzzle into hers, "anything for you my love," he mewed proudly with his eyes closed. "Redfur was a fool to think I could love him," she meowed as the two cats embraced one another, but she slowly turned around to face a shadowy place in the bushes taking the brown tom by surprise. "I love you, Shadowstorm, and no other cat could change my mind." The brown tom flattened his ears, as he prepared to confront her only to have a third cat pounce on his back and rip into his flesh. "Silverice why!" the tom demanded as he fell to the ground, bleeding and battered. Silverice laughed, "I was bored Oaktail, I made you and Redfur believe I loved you two, when in reality I wanted the both of you dead so I could be with Shadowstorm." She padded forward, Oaktail tried to stand up but the massive dark gray nearly black tom had him pinned down like he was the size of a berry. "Oh, and by the way. My kits aren't yours, their Shadowstorm's, just thought you should die knowing the truth. Your kits were killed at birth just like Redfur's." Oaktail snarled angrily, and took a final breath before his own throat was ripped out.

He felt his life draining away, his vision became blurry but as he laid there dying he watched the one cat he loved snuggle beside a different tom. You'll pay for this Silverice...
