a/n So this is a series of crack shots and drabbles involving my favorite characters, and kids games. *grin* Don't blame me, blame my friends who decided we weren't too old to play night games. *evil giggles* I will be posting each independently, since they are each set in a different tv show.
Playing Games 9: 21 Jump Street
"Hey, Jude," Doug whispered, while he scooted in beside her. "Y'think Fuller's gonna kill you for hiding in his office?"
"How the hell'd you figure out where I was so fast?"
He chuckled. "Ah, com'mon, Jude. You're sneaky, when ya wanna be. Where would Hanson never think to check? The Captain's office."
"Yeah?" Judy challenged. "Bet you twenty bucks Hanson finds us before Ioki."
Doug grinned, "I really shouldn't take yer money this way, Jude. It's a deal!"
They shook on it and waited.
Five minutes later, the door swung open and quiet footsteps came towards the desk. There was a pause, then a familiar, handsome face peered around at them.
"Hey, guys."
"Dang it, Hanson!" Doug exploded. With a heavy sigh, he reached in his pocket and pulled out a twenty, smacking it into Judy's waiting hand. Then he turned back to a puzzled Hanson. "How'd you find us before, Ioki? You suck at this game!"
Hanson shrugged, an entertained gleam in his dark eyes. "You always win. So I just told myself to "think like Penhall". And here we are."
"Great, just great!" Doug threw his arms out. "Now we get to go tell Ioki he lost to the boy scout here."
"Hey!"
"Whatever, Hanson. You know it's true."
Then the door banged open, the light switched on, and an authoritative, angry voice demanded, "What the hell? Hanson, Penhall, get out!"
They rushed away, heads bowed as though waiting for a blow, and Judy tried to follow.
"Not so fast, Hoffs. The only one with the guts to suggest Sardines and then hide in my office is you." His glare slowly transformed into a smile, and he winked. "Next time, don't use this room."
"Next time, sir?"
"Hoffs, I know they think they're just pretending to be kids, but those boys still act like teenagers. If you can keep 'em busy and tire them out more often, I'll give you a raise."
Judy answered his smile with her own. "Yes, sir."
"Now get out."
Fuller sat down in his chair and sighed. But as soon as the door closed, he couldn't help chuckling.
"Idiots."
