He was such an idiot, Salima decided. Only that TOTAL MORON would choose to not go to the hospital after this! So she decided to tell him as much.
"Kai, you moron, it's pretty clear you've hurt yourself! So get going to the hospital!"
"No!"
"Why not?!" she asked exasperatedly.
"Because I don't want to!" Kai glared through is pain.
Choosing to ignore just how childish that sounded, Salima reached around his shoulders and pulled him to his feet. Or rather, foot-one ankle was too swollen and painful to walk on.
"You're going and that's final."
"Yeah? And how are you going to make me?"
"Look around. We're hiking on a secluded trail. If I leave, you're stuck here," Salima pointed out.
Grumbling, Kai allowed himself to be taken to the hospital and subjected to a lot of questions from the doctors. But when the fan-girls showed up-did they have a Kai-radar?!-Salima had had enough.
Kai had to admit that even he was afraid of her when she went into one of her rages."The trouble I have to go though to get you to have a simple X-ray."
