Geez, I haven't written in, like, FOREVER. Another songfic – or two – written by MOI. Enjoy!
Don't tell me you love me
I don't think I could take it
Don't tell me you love me
If my heart was whole then you'd surely break it
Please, please, please
Whatever you do
Don't tell me you love me
Even if your love's true
'Cause I still don't know
Why I ever started loving you
Kel sighed. Now what in the world was the damn point of loving Neal? He was… let her count the ways…
- An idiot
- An idiot
- An idiot
- Stupid
- An idiot
- Sarcastic
- An idiot
- Stupid
- An idiot
- Well, she couldn't think of a ten, but those first nine ought to be reason enough.
It was fine
When we were just friends
But then I start loving you
And that whole relationship ends
And then here I am left loving you
While you think of me as just a pal
I'd love for you to love me too
But at the same time, somehow
I don't think I could take the pain
Of our friendship truly ending
I don't think I could take the pain
Of knowing my heart is always breaking and then mending
Who cares about love,
Who cares about us,
All I want is for things to stay the same…
Please, please, please,
Whatever you do
Don't tell me you love me
Even if your love's true
Don't tell me you love me
'Cause I still don't know
Why I ever started loving you.
Knock.
Knock.
Knock.
Three times someone rapped on her door.
"Come in," called Kel in a sigh, pushing her book away and tipping her chair back.
Neal opened the door just in time to see Kel land hard on the stone floor.
"Mindelan!"
He rushed over to her and picked her up, long arms twining around her shoulders.
"Thanks, Neal," came the low mumble from Kel's mouth.
"Welcome. So, Mindelan, it's dinner… Minde? A-lan? Mind-a-lan? Mindy?"
Kel rocketed out of his arms.
"My name is NOT Mindy!" she insisted.
"Nope, it's not," Neal agreed. "That settled, let's go to dinner. I'm starving."
"Is there ANYTHING you think of besides your stomach? Ever?"
"Let me think… nope. Come on."
Nela grabbed Kel's hand and pulled her down to dinner.
It wasn't before Kel climbed into bed that night that she realized Neal hadn't let go of her hand until they reached the table.
Love can be so fickle
But friendship is so true
Don't end this fragile balance
Don't tell me even if you do
Please, please, please,
Whatever you do,
Don't tell me you love me,
Even if your love's true,
Don't tell me you love me
'Cause I still don't know why I ever started loving you.
That wasn't very good but oh well. Please review in that little green box down there and tell me how much you hated it (unless, of course, you didn't hate it…^_^!!!) bye! There MIGHT MIGHT MIGHT be a sequel if you want one, I don't think so though…
