Eternity
Sebastian was gone. Ciel had looked everywhere. Finni, Maylene, and Bard had also disappeared. Ciel was all alone in this mansion full of memories. Everyday Ciel searched for Sebastian, hoping to at least find his body. The contract was still in place, so where could Sebastian have gone? Why did he leave Ciel?
The more Ciel thought about it, the more aggravated he became.
I wonder why? he thought. I mean, it's not that I miss him or anything. Ciel sat at his desk and tried to do his work.
How can I work when all I'm thinking about is him? Ciel frowned. A tear came to his face. Where did you go, you bastard!
Ciel slumped down to the floor and burst into tears. "Are you going to leave me all alone? Why did you leave me? Please. Come back." after crying for an hour, Ciel realized why he felt so lonely without Sebastian.
I…I love you, Sebastian. Ciel cried all through the night. He woke up on the ground. His body ached from sleeping on the floor. It was completely silent in the mansion. He was still alone.
Ciel went to the bathroom to look at his face and was shocked. The purple star in his right eye, which connected him to Sebastian, was gone. He was completely alone now.
Ciel missed him. He missed times when they were all together. Ciel missed him so much, he couldn't take it. He dressed himself as well as he could, and wandered outside of the mansion. He didn't know where he was going, but he wanted to get out of that horribly quiet mansion. It was driving him insane. He strayed out of the yard and into the forest. He walked through it, not scared at all, straying further into the forest. He reached the middle, sat on the ground, and started crying.
"Sebastian, why? Why did you leave? Is it because my soul, which you hunger for, no longer has the need for revenge? Is that the only reason you stayed by my side? Sebastian! Please return to me." Ciel cried out in despair. He cried as the wolves howled at the moon, for the rest of the night.
The next day, he went back to the mansion to get food, since he hadn't eaten anything for a day and a half. He walked to the kitchen and found some leftovers, although they were a bit spoiled. "Itadakimasu." He finished eating and searched the mansion like before.
"Still not here, huh?" Ciel said sadly, not surprised. After that long cry, he was all out of tears. He couldn't cry, even if he wanted to. And Ciel had lost his smile the second Sebastian disappeared. He vowed that he would never cry again, because crying solved nothing-Sebastian had told him that.
Days, weeks, months, years past by and Ciel still stood by the mansion, even alone he refused to leave it. He waited for Sebastian to return. Although, he knew he would never come back, he still waited. Ciel was a grown man now, but still waiting for Sebastian.
Ciel was used to being alone now, he had been since the day he vowed to stop crying. He had never cried, nor smiled since that day. He just stayed there quietly waiting.
A few months later, Ciel felt that he could go to the hill outside of the mansion. He dressed himself, and left. Although he was only leaving for a while to get some fresh air, which he hadn't felt in years. He hadn't gone to that hill since Sebastian left. Sebastian used to take him there during the evening to watch the sun set. He ventured out to the hill next to the woods. When he reached the top, he looked at the beautiful lake below the hill, the sun reflecting off the water.
A tear rolled down Ciel's face. He wiped it off and smiled for the first time in years. "Yes, I will wait for you. I will wait for you for eternity."
