a/n So this is a series of crack shots and drabbles involving my favorite characters, and kids games. *grin* Don't blame me, blame my friends who decided we weren't too old to play night games. *evil giggles* I will be posting each independently, since they are each set in a different tv show.

Playing Games 10: Criminal Minds

"This is an odd coincidence."

Morgan chuckled. "Get in the pool already, Reid."

Agent Hotchner's team had wrapped up a case earlier that day, then ended up snowed in. No planes were leaving Michigan today. They could drive, but they hadn't been assigned a new case, and the National Weather Service seemed sure that the storm should clear up by tomorrow.

Which left the BAU members at a loose end for the night. And, somehow, they had all ended up at the hotel pool.

Reid hesitated for a moment, considering sitting in the hot tub with Gideon, then smiled sheepishly. Pulling off the t-shirt he wore over his swim shorts, the doctor with three PhDs and two BAs, stepped slowly down into the pool.

As he looked around at his friends and colleagues, he was struck by a childhood memory. The words were out before he had truly considered them. "Could we play Marco Polo?"

That brought everyone's heads up and focused on Reid.

Immediately, he wanted to take back the question. This was a smart group of professionals who made their living evaluating suspects' psychology. He knew they had heard and processed the wistful tone, the distant eyes, the hopeful expression. Reid gave them mere minutes to process the clues and discover the truth: Spencer Reid had always been the outsider, watching other children at the local swimming pool playing, but never invited himself.

JJ wasn't a psychologist, but she recognized her friend's discomfort. So she swam quickly to the center of the pool and smiled. "I'll start."

The team all knew one another so well that they knew exactly what was happening, and felt the shifting group dynamics. Then they all grinned.

"Sounds like fun," Prentiss assured them.

Morgan laughed. "Let's do this."

They all paused as Gideon stood up in the hot tub. He chuckled. "I'd like to play. Is that alright?"

The joy that lit up Reid's face was wonderful to see.

a/n So, I have a list of another seven tv shows I want to continue doing these for. But if anyone has a request for a show, message me and I'll do my best! Later!
