Chapter 1
One spring afternoon Adam Braverman walks into the Dragonfly Inn with all his plus Haddie's bags and goes up to the front desk where Lorelai is typing something on the computer then looks up
"Hi, Welcome to the Dragonfly, I'm Lorelai Gilmore, can I help you?" she asks him
"Hi Yes I'm Adam Braverman I had a reservation for 2." he tells her
Lorelai looks on her computer.
"Ah yes Mr Braverman, room lets get you all checked in here." she tells him typing some stuff
"sounds good." he says and smiles at her
Lorelai looks up at him all shyly and gets his key "ro..room 5 it's all ready for you." she tells him handing him the key
"thank you." he says taking it
"uh huh." she smiles and watches him turn away
"y..you have a daughter?" she wonders
"how could you tell?" he wonders
"because I'm assuming those girl bags arn't yours." she tells him
Adam laughs "oh yea you're right yeah I have a daughter she's about to be 16." he tells her
"wow are you a single parent?" she wonders
"well now I have a 9 year old son but now I guess I am." he tells her
"I am in the proccess of divorcing my wife." he tells her
"oh, well I'm so sorry about that." she says
"it's okay it just wasn't working out and we were fighting all time the time." he tells her
"oh, well let..let me get somebody to help you with your bags." she tells him and picks up the phone and calls one of the bell boys to help him with his luggage
"so, is she here?" she wonders
"who my daughter, yeah she just went to go and find a cup of coffee." he tells her
"oh, well we do have good coffee here in the Hollow." she tells him
"oh yeah, I guess I'll have to get a cup." he tells her
Lorelai just smiles at him because he loves coffee like herself.
"yeah I think she just went to that Bakery we saw on the way here." he tells her
"oh yeah yeah yeah that's Weston's they have good coffee but the best coffee here in the Hollow is over Luke's." she tells him
"Luke's?" he wonders
"yeah it's our diner he has the best coffee in town." she tells him
"really, well I'll have to get a cup then." he says
"guess you will." she says and smiles and watches Jamie come and grab Adam's bags
"en..enjoy your stay ." she tells him
"it's Adam." he tells her
"okay, well then enjoy your stay Adam." she tells him
"thank you." he says and smiles and starts to follow the bell boy Jamie
"oh, Adam?" she stops him before he gets to the stairs
"yeah?" he answers her
"just to let you know we usually put our coffee out at about 4." she tells him
"oh, okay thank you." he says
Lorelai just nods watching him walk away following Jamie and smiles then runs back into the kitchen.
