Sometimes, she hated him. He was inconsiderate, rude, and was downright ignorant to the rules that were laid out for them on Earth. He knew better than to expose his more and earthly "personality". Since he took off whenever he pleased, it was hard to keep a watchful eye on him. Even if Ilana was paying attention to him, she found it hard to keep him on a close leash.

He just did whatever he felt seemed fit.

And to Ilana, it was more like he didn't think anything through until he gets the act done first. Even though high-priority situations like fighting enemies that traced them to earth has usually ended fairly well, Lance has landed himself in some heated trouble with earthling officials. And guess who has to bail him out of trouble.

She did.

And instead of the past troubles he got into on earth scaring him stiff, he was still ignorant and had an overall bad attitude to everyone. It was so trying to reason with him into being well-behaved. And what really grated down on her nerves was that even though he was so cold, aloof and unfriendly, he still had the affection and admiration of everyone at school. Every morning, she would go with him to school and every morning, everyone would greet him and ignore her as they walked the halls.

Was she invisible? Why was it that Lance had such a 'charming' personality that caught the attention of their school mates when the only thing he would do is glare and have an impolite response to anyone…well, the only person he would really greet is her and she was the only he would ever really talk to. Everyone else he would ignore.

It just wasn't fair. Even though Ilana was always pleasant to everyone she meets and advocates the best of what the world can offer, she's ostracized for having "odd" and "hippie" opinions.

Lance was occasionally cruel, blunt and even insulting and he was praised for that. His actions and statements were idolized on earth.

It was a funny thought, considering how people thought and treated him back at home. Lance was treated as royalty here whereas Ilana was forced the title of the outcast.

And have the tables been turned, drastically.

And how did Ilana hate how that transgression came to be.

A much more serious look into how Ilana feels about Lance being so well-recieved. I want to see more writings about this couple, not too fluffy, but the right amount of a love/hate relationship. :D Well, drop by and allow me to recieve your criticism, ideas and suggestions.
