Author Notes: I haven't written anything for such a long time. Then I found a pic on facebook and it was the perfect muse to jumpstart my writing again. Ficlet is unbetaed so I apologise for any glaring mistakes or bad punctuation. Fanfic won't let me post a direct link to the picture but if you want to see it, send me a message and I'll give you a link. Disclaimer: Doctor Who is a product of the BBC. I own nothing except the plotline of this fic and the fun I had writing it. :)

It was a bad idea. A really bad idea. When it came to his life (or lives), he trusted Jack completely. When it came to recommendations about buying furniture … not so much.

The Doctor sighed. Him buying furniture? Hello! Can you say domestic?

A warm hand slipped into his, breaking his brooding.

"You ready?" asked Rose in a soft undemanding tone. She gazed up at him, her eyes filled with concern and so much love. The emotion there swept away his doubts, (well most of them) of what they were about to do.

"Yeah," he said, as he gripped her hand tighter. "Let's go buy ourselves a bed."

"I'm gonna kill him!"

The Doctor's voice rang out above the voices of other customers and the annoying shop music.

"Jack and his stupid suggestions. When we get back I'm gonna throw him out a ...mmmmph."

Whatever he had been about to say next was muffled by Rose's lips on his. Apparently she had learned very quickly that was the best way to get his attention or shut him up.

She kissed him until she felt the tension in his body subsiding. Breaking the kiss she looked up at him. "Better?," she enquired, knowing full well her effect on him.

"A bit, I guess but," he gestured to the sign in front of them. "I knew from the get go that any suggestions from Harkness would be a bad idea. There's the confirmation right in front of us."

"Oh I don't know. Jack said we'd get a good deal," remarked Rose as she looked at the sign and then at the displays around them. "Seems like they might be rather comfortable actually. Just the right amount of give and support and apparently guaranteed to last a lifetime. We should test them out."

The Doctor, despite his annoyance, had to admit she made sense. "Well, since we're here then, we might as well go try out some beds."

Rose grabbed his hand and gave him her most sinful smile. "Actually Doctor, I was talking about the free handcuffs."

"Oh,"

Maybe he wouldn't throw Jack out an airlock after all.
