The one I love
Each person has a star
They pick one out each night
Then wish upon it
They pray that their wish
Will come true some day
You and I sleep under these stars
You watch over me
Making sure I'm safe
Each night you sit in a tree
And keep a sharp eye on me
You may not notice it
But I smile at you
I feel safe around you
I'd give anything to stay with you
I'm glad I'm with you
Under the same sky
Looking at the same stars
Bathed in the same moonlight
How each night makes me feel
I feel more and safe and secure
More comfort and care
Sometimes I imagine
That I'm sitting next to you
In that tree you sit in
When I look up at you
I feel like I'm looking
At my guardian angel
Always protecting me in battle
Caring for me but always hiding it

Now we sit here looking at the same sun
As the sunlight hits us at the same time
You eyes glisten
But now I see something different
An emotion I've seen only twice
You showed sadness in the sunlight
As I got up from my blankets
You look down at me
With such sad eyes
I just smile at you
Trying to cheer you up
Now I've finally realized
What I could do for you

So now as you jump in front of me
