Note:: I know it's really short, I think it's kind of a drabble but I don't usually read those so I couldn't really tell you. So…um…yeah. v.v Hopefully I'll have a Multi-chapter story out soon. Maybe in a few days or something. I have to transfer the files.

STORYSTORYSTORY

Annoyance swept through the small boy only to be viciously stomped down. Annoyance was one of the dangerous emotions he wasn't allowed to feel. If he did then he would do something freaky and his uncle would be angry with him again. He didn't want to make his uncle angry.

It wasn't like he was afraid of being locked away in his cupboard, he was already there thanks, but Dudley had once again been given presents and cake and whatever he desired for his birthday. Harry couldn't help feeling bitter about the wet, ruined, and half destroyed feather he'd gotten for his. Apparently it had been stuck to Uncle Vernon's jacket when he'd come home the day before.

Why couldn't he ever get anything for his birthday that wasn't trash from the street? Even if it was just a one time thing or a new sewing kit so he could fix the overlarge clothing he was forced to wear. At least it would be something new he could call his, something the Dursley's had bought especially for him.

A quiet sigh flew passed his lips, covered by Dudley's delighted exclamation at some trinket, and Harry moved away from the small crack in the door. He didn't feel up to pretending it was him and not Dudley they were doting on right then. Maybe if he curled up on his cot and piled the old blankets on top of his head he could block out the happy family sounds.
