This one ended up having less words than the first one. I've decided to make a series of Pokemon poems, focusing on my favorite pairings. They can stand alone too (I think) but it helps to read In The Night first.
Pairing is Fluteshipping AKA Melody from Pokemon 2000 and Misty. In other words, Yuri. Don't like, don't read
Disclaimer: Don't own Pokemon today, I just have about 800 Pokemon cards and Ruby, Emerald and Fire Red. Plus I want to get books and plush dolls. But I would be too busy to write Fanfiction if I owned Pokemon.
A ocarina sounds
over the peaceful island town of Shamuti
A flute joins it
dipping and swirling like
the Swellow that fly in the Morning Sun
A Togetic and Gardivoir play together
As their trainers combine Melodies
The melody changes to
A haunting melody
Reminding them of ones lost in the Night
But the ocarina adds a hopeful note
Knowing that the Night can
Keep the ones like them safe
The melodies end as the ones
Who are playing them stop
And entwine their fingers together
Here on this island they are safe
And are free in the light
Two Lapras play in the water
And their Trainers watch
Seeing the happiness
Of Pokemon free on the waves
And those who do not have to hide
An Altaria swoops and dives down
Dropping a letter on Misty's lap
Together they open it
A three line note reads
"By Moonlight we come
To rest in the Morning Sun
Stardreamers"
And Misty smiles
Her friends are coming
She knows they won't stay
But for a while
They can run free
The other girl scribbles a note on the back of the original one
"Come Stardreamers
Walk in the Day for a time
Rejoice in the Morning Sun
Daydreamers"
And Altaria flies off into the Morning Sun
Misty lays her head on her love's shoulder
And sighs happily
Friends from another time will come
And they will shelter them
From the harshness
Of a world that does not accept Homosexuality
Shamuti chooses to be apart from any island chain
For those who need to be in an accepted place
Saving those who are driven away from everyone else
Misty knows that this will never change
Because she has Melody
Actually I think it turned out kind of rocky. But I like the moves Morning Sun and Moonlight.
