Pain racked her body, their intensity making the contractions seem endless. Breathing deeply Molly centered herself, blocking out her frantic husband's voice.

---

Really, just how did he think he was helping if all he did was ask her questions. The man could at least floo St. Mungos!

---

Shaking her head free of that thought she focused on what she needed to do. This was to be her seventh child and, with hope, she would finally have a girl. All her other six had been the same, save for Fred and George who insisted on taking their sweet time, quick and virtually painless- at least compared to what she was now going through.

---

"Breathe Molly, you've got to take deep breaths."

---

She said to herself as Arthur continued to prattle on foolishly. He could at least bring a clean towel or two to swaddle the baby in, really!

---

"Be patient Molly, don't push quite yet. Soon, dear, soon."

---

The pain changed, it was subtle but after having six children she knew what was about to come. Molly drew her knees to her chest and clutched at them as she pushed. Releasing her knees she laid back to catch her breath for a second before pushing again.

---

"Come on Molly, you've got to push!"

---

She felt something now and knew it wouldn't be long, but, oh dear, didn't her husband see what was happening. Why wasn't that man doing something. And, oh dear, this one had her hips!

---

"Molly, do you need anything? Ice perhaps?"

---

Molly grunted at him and groaned as she felt a body slip out. She leaned back for only a moment before reaching for her babe and placing it on her chest. She heard Arthur gasp but ignored him as she cleared the baby's airways and waited to hear its first cry. When, at last, the babe did cry, she sighed in relief and proceeded to push out the afterbirth.

---

"Molly?"

"Get me a towel Arthur, and floo St. Mungo's once you get me them."

"Yes Molly."

---

Molly closed her eyes and decided sleep was the best option. Her child was healthy, and if she remembered correctly, she had a girl! That man had best hurry up though, if he knew what was best for him.
