-It is You I Have Loved-
Chapter I

By: Fantasy Wings

A/N: Okay, so this is a sequel to my other story, 'Broken Wings'. This is a dedication to three friends: Ashelia92, DarkShine07, and Reks19. To the rest of my valuable readers, I hope you like it. Please leave a review. Thanks.

Ashelia awoke in the midst of the evening, her lover's arms wrapped around her petite waist. She felt a bit cold as the icy atmosphere settled on her and her lover's skin, however, his embrace gave her much wanted comfort and warmth. Ashe gazed up at her lover's face—a flawless design that made many women sigh and numerous men envious. Ashe gazed up at him lovingly, and reached up to run her fingers through his soft, auburn hair. Balthier opened his eyes at the touch of a warm, soft hand and looked at its owner with his dark mysterious eyes.

"An angel has fallen down from the heavens it seems," Balthier whispered, caressing the young Lady's cheeks. "And landed into my arms." Ashe had a look of surprise on her face, that which had Balthier rather amused. "What's the matter, Princess?" He asked, tilting her chin up so that she would meet his gaze.

"Nothing is the matter, Balthier." Ashe uttered, smiling in response to his touch. "Well, it's just that…" The Princess giggled a bit. "I hadn't expected you to be the romantic type."

"Well, Princess." Balthier chuckled. "A leading man has many secrets, most of which are reserved only for the leading lady." Ashe smiled at the sky pirate.

"You certainly take your role in this little story seriously," Ashe murmured, leaning closer to the pirate as her face drew nearer to his.

"I certainly do," Balthier replied quickly as Ashe pressed their lips firmly together once more, just as she had done earlier that night. Balthier smirked, pulling the Princess closer to him to deepen the kiss. However, as the passion and desire burned within the two lovers, a voice interrupted the mood.

"Well, I see the leading man has finally confessed his infatuation with the leading lady of the story." Balthier and Ashe, still in each other's arms, looked in the direction of the voice and saw the tall form of a Viera well hidden within the shadows.

"How long have you been standing there, may I ask?" Balthier smirked at his partner, who had an unusually wide grin on her face. Fran wasn't the usual being to be humorous with.

"An angel has fallen down from the heavens it seems," Fran repeated, a sly grin on her face. "And landed into my arms."

"That long, hmm?" Balthier uttered, blushing madly. Silently, he thanked the gods for the night, as to not embarrass himself in front of both Ashe andFran. Ashe stifled an amused giggle as Balthier turned his attention to her. "You seem to be enjoying yourself." He smirked at her before capturing her lips for his own.

A/N: I apologize if this chapter is a bit short. I promise that I will try to make the succeeding chapters longer.
