Hello, i hope that you enjoy my short story and please feel free to review.

Disclamer: I do not own Naruto

Naruto and Hinata had some business to attend at the Hyuga household and they brought their children as well. While the adults were discussing over various important matters, Himawari, Boruto and the other hyuga children decided to play hide and seek, without using the byakugan. Boruto was the first person to count.

"1, 2, 3, 4, …"

All the children scattered, some hid in the garden, some hid in the house and Himawari went inside an empty room. Himawari was a naughty child so, she used the byakugan to find the best hiding spot. As she scanned in the room she saw under the bed there was a notebook under the wooden floor. This caught her attention so, she crawled under the bed and opened the pallet. She pulled out the notebook and on the first page it wrote Neji's name.

"Wait! This is my uncle's diary", Himawari realized.

She opened the second page and it wrote:

Once upon a time, a little sparrow and his father lived on a tree. One day the Papa sparrow died and the little sparrow became very, very sad and lonely.

He decided that he needed to make a nest to protect himself. So, this sparrow brought a twig of denial, a twig of anger, a twig of bargaining, a twig of depression, a twig of fear, a twig of insecurity, a twig of doubt, a twig of blind belief, and a twig of apathy.

Once his nest was complete he felt safe however, he then realized that he in fact made a wooden cage with himself trapped inside. The little sparrow began to feel helpless and felt that he could not escape.

In the house next to the tree there was yellow canary who trying to escape from his cage.

"What are you doing?", the sparrow asked.

"I am going to break free", replied the yellow canary.

"Don't bother doing the impossible, you cannot bend metal bars." , the sparrow said.

"I believe in myself and I will work hard to free myself, no matter what! These bars are not my limitation!", the canary exclaimed.

The sparrow thought the yellow canary was foolish for trying to escape. He thought that a caged bird will always remain as a caged bird and no matter what, he cannot change that fate.

However, the canary did break free and flew out of the little metal door to the sparrow.

The canary said, "If I can do it, so can you!" and with that he flew away.

The sparrow suddenly felt hope, joy and understanding. He broke down his wooden cage and flew away too.

Boruto suddenly barged in the room and exclaimed smiling, "Ha! I found you! Now it is your turn."

The end.
