There's something wrong about not being able to look your best friend in the eye. Well, not for too long, at least.
In years knowing Harry Dresden, I've never actually studied his eyes the way I do every other partner's. I have to look at his mouth (usually twisted into some kind of wry smile) or his nose (which is quite straight and becoming), or even the crinkles at the sides of his eyes (from laughter at his own smart-ass humor).
But I can't soulgaze with him. As much as I want to. As much as I don't want to.
