"She's changed Kanzeon Bosatsu-sama! She's not the Ryu I knew. She doesn't tell me what's happening to her" Meika said to the goddess. "Daijobu desu Meika-chan! I also noticed something unusual with our lady toushin taishi. Don't worry she's all right. By the way Meika-chan I think you and Gyumao's son Kougaiji are friends. So how is he?" Meika was shocked and she doesn't want the goddess to know more about it. "Meika, this is against the rules, not my rules but Tenkai's rules! You should not be befriending a youkai! For your information, Nataku-taishi already defeated Gyumao and any person from Tenkai shouldn't be talking to his people especially his son! So Meika, stop all these nonsense and just go on to your mission of getting the sutra from my nephew Konzen. I mean Genjo Sanzo!" the goddess told her. She started to shout at her master saying, "No! I won't stop talking to him! He's my best friend after Ryu! I won't let anyone like you destroy our friendship!" Meika ran away from the palace and made the goddess more anxious. "So desu ka Meika-chan. be that way. You don't know a lot!"
Meika ran to the cliff where they first retreated. She started to cry and a familiar voice behind her asked "Why are you crying Meika? Anything wrong?" It was Kougaiji. She ran to him and told him what happened. " Don't cry Meika. I don't care if she found out or whatever. I just want you to continue our friendship even though I." Meika grew anxious. "You what?" Kougaiji pretended he didn't hear what Meika said. "I mean don't let anyone, especially her, destroy our friendship. If you promise me that you won't leave our friendship behind for anything else, with me, we will fight for it." Meika smiled and said " I promise Kou! I won't let anyone destroy it! We are friends right. Kou?" Kougaiji's face wore a fake smile. "Yes Meika. Just friends. Er, I mean stay that same! A girl who's always fighting for friendship!" Meika and Kougaiji smiled at each other. Afterwards, Kou said goodbye to her. "Just friends. Right. There is nothing more than that. I love you Meika. Even though I know we will just be friends. Constant and never changing." Kougaiji told himself. " Omae wo baka Meika! Why are you keep hiding it? You love Kougaiji, Meika. One day you'll tell him" Meika said to herself.
