Chapter 1
The Ship
AN: Please, Please review if you like this story. I know I'm not going to get many reviews, this being the only crossover of its kind, so it means a lot to me if you review. Now, let's get this show on the road!
"Arggh!" Dipper Pines groaned, furiously chewing on his shirt. "What IS that thing? It looks like a ship. If it is, for all I know, it could destroy the town!"
"Dipper, chill," his twin sister Mabel told him. "What if it's just some freak star?"
"There are no such things as freak stars! What if those are aliens? Huh? HUH?"
"There are no such things as aliens, Dipper!"
"Well, you look through the telescope!"
"Fine, I will."
Mabel peered through the lens of the telescope. She saw a blue and gold ship known to some as the Milano. "Okay, Dipper. I surrender. But... is this just your telescope, or is the thing getting closer?" Mabel was right. The ship was getting closer. Too close. So close, the could see it like one might see an airplane in the sky. "OMIGOSH DIPPER WHAT IS THAT?!" Mabel shrieked.
"I-I don't k-know," Dipper stuttered.

On board the ship, Rocket the raccoon was dangling Peter Quill's precious Sony Walkman over an open hatch. "Hey! No! Rocket, I swear I'll get your money! Peter had jut lost a bet to the raccoon. (For those who are interested, they bet over whether Drax would take 2 hours or 1 hour sharpening his knives. 2 hours was the result.) Unfortunately, the half-Terran didn't have the money. So, as a substitute payment, Rocket was going to drop the Walkman. (Earlier, Rocket said he would pay to see the expression on Peter's face if he lost his Walkman.)
"One..." Rocket started the countdown. "Two..."
"Look, I'll give you the money once we stop at Xandar!" Peter pleaded.
" THREE!" Rocket dropped the Walkman.
The two watched in stunned silence as the Walkman dropped into the thick forests of Oregon. The look of anguish on Peter's face stopped Rocket from laughing. Peter didn't say anything, he just sat there, with that anguished and surprised look on his face. Then, without saying a word, he walked away from Rocket, to his room.

Meanwhile, a certain object hit a certain twin on the head. "Ow!" Dipper said. He picked up the object, which was now on the ground. "What the..." He studied the Sony Walkman in his hand. "...have we gone back to the 70s?"
