My Own Writing: Marauder Stories
James is sprawled across the sofa, his face stuffed into the red and gold pillow. A redhead girl quietly steps into the common room. It's the middle of the night, her clothes were soaking and she was dripping enough water to fill up the carpet. She was a mess. The warmth of the room made her shiver, a soft snore echoes through the room. It's coming from James.
Lily: coughs to herself Where is it?
she looks around the room searching for something, her eyebrows knitted in worry. She coughs, repetitively. She turns over the pillows in the sofa's and chairs.
James: Mumbling in his sleep Padfoot, Moony, no, not that one, Tia... Kill me... Tell Lily... Birthday.
Lily jumps a foot in the air, unaware that James was still asleep, she peers to the sofa in front of the fire. James is cuddled up, he doesn't have a shirt on, and is hugging his sweatshirt
James: Tia... Not Sirius' hair... Wont forgive you... Married? Prank... Just a prank... Tia's grandpa's a Gryffindor... No betrothed... Prank... Stupid prank... Don't believe it...
Lily Takes out a blanket from under the sofa and puts it over James. He pulls it into his body, feeling warm
Lily: Sleep you little prick.
She scowls at his face under the blanket and turns away to go towards the common room. She was ready to sleep.
James: Lily?
James popped his head out from behind the sofa.
Lily: Huh?
Yelps and jumps up again
James: What time is it? And why are you so wet?
Lily's teeth are clattering, she shrugs, not in the mood to shout at him. James pulls out his wand and waves it at her. Her clothes and hair slowly dry up.
James: There you go. Are you okay? You seem worried.
Lily: I lost my wand somewhere.
Her voice is dull
James: Oh.
Pulls out a mahogany colored wand from under the sofa.
James: Is this it?
Lily's face lights up
Lily: Yes! Oh god I Love You! I Love You! I Love You!
She squeals in delight and pecks James on the cheek. His face turns red. Lily runs towards the girls dormitories. With one look behind.
Lily: Good night Potter!
She opens the door and disappears. James stare at the door she left through, he touches the place where Lily had kissed him.
James: I'll never wash my face again!
A tall boy with neat hair walks into the room.
Boy: Hey James, is Lily gone?
James looks at him frowning.
James: Why?
Oh, we just broke up, and she sort of caught me cheating on her.
James: With who?
Boy: Jen, you know, the Ravenclaw...
James: Oh, she's hot no?
The boy nods feverently trying to impress James. James pulls out his wand.
Boy: Why're you pointing the wand at me?
James flicks his wand. The boy stiffens up
James: Don't mess with Lily...
James walks out of the room
