Edward sat on the couch with a hand on her stomach finding it hard to believe that Christmas was there and that it had been over 3 years since she and Roy had been married and 5 years since she returned her brothers body to its original form, granted she did not get her arm or leg back but Roy had told her when he ran into the hospital room where they had placed Alphonse and herself after the transmutation and when he had walked in Alphonse had been asleep and Edward had tears staining her cheeks with her right arm glistening with the light from the streetlights outside.

Edward had a look of disgust on her face when she looked up to see Roy whom had tears in his eyes from the image in front of him he quickly wiped his eyes and walked over to sit on the edge of Edwards bed and said slowly and softly,

"Edward you shouldn't hate what makes you, you"

"But why not it makes me un normal and I hate it when people see me differently because of it" said Edward as the tear started to come out heavier than before.

"But what if that difference in you is why I love you so?" questioned Roy.

The days after that had rolled by and Edward never questioned her automail and now here she sits waiting for Roy to wake up on Christmas morning. Upon hearing a floorboard squeak Edward look up and saw Roy in his blue plaid pyjamas and his plain white tee-shirt, with a gentle smile on his face.

"Merry Christmas, Smiles" said Roy with a yawn before he walked into the kitchen to get a cup of coffee then he came back into the living room and sat down beside Edward on the couch.

"Sparky I have a very important Christmas present for you" said Edward with a slight tremor in her voice, which caught Roy's attention right away.

"Wh-" started Roy but was cut off by Edward "close your eyes and give me your hands"

Not wanted to upset Edward Roy did as she asked and was surprised to feel soft skin under his hands. Roy opened his eyes to see Edward standing in front of him with her baggy purple top pulled up and his hands were resting on her stomach with her hands over top of his holding them there.

"Edward, what?" asked Roy confused as he slowly withdrew his hands from her belly. Edward slowly leaned closer to Roy and whispered in his ear;

"You're going to be a daddy, Sparky"

Roy's eyes widened at hearing that and he looked up at Edwards face only to see her eyes beaming with joy.

"Edward, how, when..." Roy was left speechless as he put his hands back on Edwards stomach

"Come on Sparky please tell me you know about the birds and the bees? I only found out myself about 2 days ago" answered Edward with a slight chuckle.

"How far along are you?" asked Roy as he wrapped his arms around Edwards waist and welcomed the new life into the world and into his family.

"2 months" answered Edward simply.

"Well Smiles I have to say that this is the best Christmas present ever" said Roy as he pulled Edward down onto his lap to give her his Christmas gift.
