Living Under a Paper Moon
Chapter One: Prologue
Alexander Hummel was currently standing at the podium giving his election speech. He had been elected to be governor for the past few years and now the wonderful new government have decided that instead of having an election for a new governor every few years there would be an election for one governor for the rest of time and that would then be passed down their family's generations, they thought saw it as a role of royalty even though they did not go by the title of king or queen.
The popular choice for winning this election was currently Alexander Hummel and the new government did not think for one second that he wouldn't win the public over with his wondrous words of wisdom.
The government that had suddenly appeared from nowhere just under two years ago, they were run by the Smythe family and the chairman of the government was Jonathon Smythe, he and Alexander had become very close friends during the election. Jonathon had helped campaign for Alexander to ensure that he was the one who was voted into the role of Governor otherwise his plan wouldn't work. You see, the Smythe's were not on the Hummel's side at all, Jonathon had a plan that involved the Hummel's in a few hundred years time, his psychic had told him their families intertwined in marriage in the year 2814 and it had something to do with one of his great younger generations becoming the most powerful human being in the world, passing up on such an opportunity could not be avoided. Jonathon had been seen as a very serious but reliable man, he made sure that the Hummel's and the public trusted him before he set his plan to action soon to ruin many lives.

Just over a year later the government had completely taken over, however to the public eye they could only see the Hummel's in charge and believed them to be the ones ruining their world, not knowing what was happening behind closed doors. Alexander had been blackmailed into agreeing with anything that the government suggested and most of the blame had been put on him and his partners but eventually as the years passed people began to notice something more, they noticed that it was in fact Alexander Hummel that was forced into passing new laws and because of this it took the blame off of the government, it was all a lie. Everything.
Even as the centuries went by the Smythe's continued to bully the Hummel's into their own horrible schemes, but things would soon change.
In the year 2796 the young Kurt Hummel was born, nobody thought anything special of it other than the fact that he was the Governor's son, in fact he was the only son of Governor Burt Hummel and his wife Elizabeth and little did anyone know, he was one of thirteen who would change everything that the government had corrupted.
