It was one of those rare moments when the guild was quiet. There in the corner leaning against the wall was Natsu and Wendy sleeping together with her head on his shoulder. Natsu had just came back from doing his mission, slamming the doors open like he always does. He greeted everyone then he went to go look for the one person he goes to after his missions. Wendy was sitting at an empty table at the back of the guild waiting for Natsu to come and find her. Natsu saw Wendy sitting at the empty table and made his way to her.
" Sup Wendy " said Natsu when he was standing in front of her.
" Hi Natsu-san " said Wendy giving him a smile, " How did your mission go today? " she asked him.
" It was a little bit hard truth be told but I still finished it with ease " Natsu said as he sat down beside her.
Wendy was about to say something to Natsu when a chair came flying straight at her, with no time to move she was going to take the hit. But Natsu got up from where he was sitting and stood in front of Wendy and broke the chair the moment it got close. Wendy looked up to see Natsu standing in front of her with pieces of the now broken chair in front of him.
" Wendy are you alright? " asked Natsu.
" I'm fine but how about you Natsu-san? " she answered him.
" I'm fine, he answered then faced the guys who carelessly threw the chair, " Oi you guys almost hit Wendy " yelled Natsu.
The guys who were fighting now stopped and were going to continue if not for Erza looking at them with a dangerous aura around her making them stop. Natsu, satisfied that they stopped, sat back down and continued talking about his mission with Wendy giggling every now and then.
Wendy was starting to feel sleepy so she rested her head on Natsu's arm.
" Natsu-san would you tell me a story? " asked Wendy sleepily.
" Sure " replied Natsu noticing that she was feeling sleepy.
" This story is about the constellation called the twin dragons, said Natsu starting the story, how they met and how they turned into a constellation. They met at some place and fell in love. But they were not supposed to meet as they were sworn enemies. The two dragons decided to leave their homeland to live together but when their time together neared its end, the Celestial Spirit King who was watching over them, gave them an offer of becoming one of the constellations so they will forever be together. The two dragons took the offer and became a constellation as long their love shone brightly in the night sky " said Natsu finishing the story.
Natsu looked down to see Wendy fast asleep next to him. He moved his right hand up to her face brushing a few strands of her hair away from her face and kissed her forehead saying " sleep well Wendy " as he to fell asleep.
