Light Yagami looked at the computer screen and sighed. It was six in the morning and his poor eyes had been looking at the computer for kami knows how long. He rubbed his eyes with his thumbs softly letting out a tired yawn.
"Tired Raito-kun"?
The voice surprised him for a moment. He had completely forgotten about L.
"Ya, i think I'm going to call it a night", he said closing the laptop.
L nodded and stood up, the chain to there handcuffs pulling on light's wrist. He sighed, "Ryuuzaki how long do you think well be handcuffed"?
The detective didn't answer, but pulled on the chain that held them together. Light sighed,"Alright alright I'm coming".
They headed to bed, not even bothering to talk. They never did, it was only work and nothing more.
Light pulled the covers over them and let his eyes close.
"Raito, are you still awake"?
He sighed, I am now.
"What is it Ryuuzaki"?
L turned and looked at him."Raito,what do you think about god"?
Light blinked,"Why ask me something like that"?
L shrugged and closed his eyes,"You are against kira, and yet you want a world of peace don't you"?
"Of course".
L opened his eyes and looked into Light's, they showed no emotions. The only thing they showed was a question and something clouded over it.
"Then is there no god"?
Light thought for a moment and then answered,"There is a god, but i think sometimes he needs a messenger. Someone in human form to do his work on earth that can't be done from the heavens".
After he finished talking he was surprised to see L hugging his waist.
"R-ryuuzaki whats wrong, your sthomach"?
L didn't move,"No that's not it..".
It's that your kira....Raito.
His grip on Light waits became tighter as he fought the tears from his eyes.
