I was bored so I wrote this…

So this was it?

All the feelings from before were simply non-existent.

But what did it matter, she was long gone.

Her name was only a memory.

And the times they shared together.

It was the only thing he had left of her.

And the only thing left of him was an empty shell.

Hitsugaya traced the words that were ever so delicately carved into the stone.

"Hinamori Momo

Loving friend,

Mother

And

Wife'

He clenched his eyes closed pushing back the unwilling tears. It was too hard to bear, the pain, regret, loss.

"Papa? Is…this mama?" a small voice asked from behind him. Hitsugaya looked back. He smiled slightly and pat the little girls head.

"Mm, this is Na-chan's mama," he answered back tears were threatening to fall once again. He looked away. It had been 2 years since her death but Hitsugaya could simply not let it go.

Flashback

"PLEASE MY WIFES BEEN SHOT!" Hitsugaya cried out towards to crowd. Hinamori's breaths became ragged and short. She clutched her baby to her chest.

"Shi-ro-chan, a-am I going to d-ie?" she asked. Hitsugaya's eyes clouded up with tears.

"Of course n-not baka! You can't j-just leave! Y-you won't!" he smiled. Blood had soaked though both Hitsugaya and Hinamori's clothes. The blood stained bundle in Hinamori's arm began to wiggle and cry out. Hinamori thrust the baby into her husband's hands.

"Take care o-of Haruna for me ok?" Hinamori gasped. Hitsugaya gripped her hand tightly.

"NO! NO! YOU'LL TAKE CARE OF HER TO! YOU HAVE TO!"

"Shiro-chan, I-I love you…" the grip on his hands weakened.

She was gone.

End of Flashback

Tears fell from Hitsugaya's eyes. He felt a small tug on his pants.

It was Haruna.

"Doushita no papa?" Haruna's large brown eyes looked up at him. He pat her light brown hair.

"Nandemo naiyo, lets go,"

Hitsugaya took Haruna's little hand and together the walked out of the cemetery.

"Ne ne, can we get peaches tonight? I really like them!" Haruna said enthusiastically. Hitsugaya smiled and nodded.

"Sure, I really like them too,"
