Most people don't believe me when I tell them this story, I mean, why should they?

For as long as I can remember I've been able to see things others can't. Not the first time you've heard that before huh? Yeah, I get that a lot.

But it is true, I've been called crazy for it, I don't mind. I know I'm weird but so is the stuff I see.

I see mythical beings and creatures. From myths to legends to everything in between. I've seen gods, monsters, and so much more. Seeing unicorns, fairies, goblins, even garden gnomes. Along with some gods, my favorite being the Greek ones.

One of the minor gods being a very good friend of mine. The God of the West Winds, Zephyrus or Zephyr as I like to call him. We met when I was six, I had invited all my classmates to my party. . . .no one showed up. I was the 'Weird Girl' so no one wanted anything to do with me. Plus my parents had no time for me. I sat all alone under an apple tree, crying softly as I munched on a big apple. An apple was about to fall and hit my head but it never did, wanna know why? He caught it.

"Hey kid, want another apple?" I looked up and saw a young teen man holding the apple to me. He didn't seem confused that I could see him. He said cause he heard about me from others. He made a pun of catching wind that my birthday wasn't going so well. Zephyr promised me that from then on he'd be at all my parties and bring me gifts.

Soon he started showing up on more than just my birthday.

As I grew older we became better and closer friends.

I'm so happy that I've met him. I'd never admit it around him, but I have a small crush on him. But it's not like he could have a crush on me.

But I'm seventeen right now and only a few months away from what is a tradition in my family, the courtship ball, where on my eighteenth birthday. I'll have to choose my husband.

I'd rather run far far away, but I'm my parents only child. I have to carry on their company because of that. I don't want to let them down. . . . but I don't want to leave Zephyr either.

What should I do?
