Prompt #2 (Location) Twilight Drive-In

Jughead folded his arms tightly across his chest. "You can't buy me off Lodge." He growled low in his throat.

"I'm not trying to buy you off Jughead." Veronica sighed.

"You used your mommy's money to buy the Twilight because you figured that you could win major points with Betty if you saved the one of the few places that I find safe to sleep." He moved closer to the shorter girl. "Didn't you."

"I admit that I bought the Twilight because I learned that you have been sleeping here Jughead." Veronica raised her right hand. "But I also bought it because I didn't want it to be torn down. This is one of the truly last drive in that America has." She looked at the screen down below the hill that they were standing in. "It's still in great shape. It still has a lot of life in it." She spoke in a low voice. "I couldn't bare the thought of it being gone. That it truly didn't matter at all in the progressive area of life."

The tightness in his chest eased a little as Jughead truly heard what Veronica's spirit was saying. He looked down as he stood side by side with the shorter brunette.

"If you need a roof over your head … you can stay at the Pembroke." Veronica didn't look at the taller lanky teen at her side.

"Thanks but no thanks." Jughead frowned as his thoughts darkened once more.

"If you change your mind. The doors open anytime." Veronica soft voice spoke.

Jughead remained silent.
