Watermelon Ice
What is Watermelon? It's a round fruit with a tough green shell protecting a red juicy center. You would find yourself enjoy this delicacy in the blazing heat of summer. Commonly associated with Watermelon Breaking Contest at the beach or spitting out the seeds at an unfortunate victim- I mean neighbor. It's a symbol of joyous times universally shared by everyone during the summers of their lives. All the fond memories of summers past coming back to you when you sink your teeth into the delicious fruit. It's the favorite of one Taichou in the Gotei Thirteen, Hitsugaya Toshiro.
What is Ice? It's a thin layer of frozen water that can be shaped into icy creations. It's seen when waking up to a winter day, covering everything in a thin sparkling blanket. Reminding you of days when you exhale and you can see your breathe lingering in a cloud in front of your face. It can be found forming icicles on the edge of your roof or covering your car windows after leaving it outside one winter night or part of the most elegant ice sculptures you have ever seen. These are all cold masterpieces that glitter beneath the sun's rays when it glides over them only in existence because of ice. It's a weapon wielded by only one Taichou in the Gotei Thirteen, Hitsugaya Toshiro.
Both practically unrelated when one describing summers and the other winters. What does Watermelon have to do with Ice? It's simple really and I'll give you only one answer. That is Hitsugaya Toshiro, the youngest Taichou in the Gotei Thirteen and the current Taichou of the Tenth Division.
