"The messages that the stars give us are often vague and unspecific. Write a story about a character without using their name. At the end of the story, put a note stating their name. You will be graded on how well you represented the character without actually stating their name.

12. Dungeons
I hope you like it :)
Darkness had been surrounding him his whole life and he had gotten used to it, sometimes even seeking comfort in it. Even though it had made his life awful on some more occasions, but still it defined him, the darkness told him who he was. It was a part of him by now.
The damp cold of the Hogwarts dungeons was the right home for him, here he could lock himself away from the world that had treated him so cruel, from all the people who judged him for what he had become through this cruelty, not knowing what had happened to transform him into the man he was.
Albus Dumbledore, the man who had rescued him from his darkest paths somehow believed that love was the most powerful magic existing in their world. He had had to experience its force on his own body when he had been a young, foolish man. Love had made him feel wonderful, he had never experienced such strong emotions before, but then love had shown him its dark side, a single word had destroyed all he had been dreaming of and he had been left alone with all the shattered pieces.
And even though that very woman was gone, first married to another man, then killed by someone lusting for power, he never stopped loving her, because love was indeed the strongest force existing in the universe.
It had dragged him into darkness, but still it was the only thing that made him carry on.
Love was Severus Snape's will to live.
