A/N: Stupid plot bunnies. Though, I was expecting this to be longer... oh well. This isn't much more than a quick one shot I wrote, so sorry if it's bad. Just a heads up, this takes place before the movie. Literary right before it. I do not How To Train your Dragon, nor the characters.

Hiccup was tired. He'd be doing chores around the house for the past 4 hours. 'Maybe next time I shouldn't wait a few weeks before doing any.'Hiccup finished folding the last woollen blanket and sat it on the bed.

Happy that he was now finished, he went to the window. It was a rather nice day out, through the sun was low in the sky by this point. The sheep were grazing in what little fields Berk had to offer. They seemed rather happy, or at the very least content, at the fact that that there hadn't be a dragon raid in about Twelve days.

Hiccups eyes scanned what parts of the village he could see. Everyone was doing their daily business, but it was obvious they were on edge, waiting for the dragons to come. The red-head's eyes landing on a group of teenagers.

Ruffnut and Tuffnut, the two blonds who looked very similar, seemed to be bickering. The brunette, Snotlout, was talking to the other blonde female, Astrid, but she appeared to be ignoring him. "Hey, where's Hiccup?" He heard his friend, or at least the only one who seemed to like Hiccup, Fishlegs say. "You mean the house wife? Doing chores or messing up something, probably." Snotlout said with a smirk. A few giggles could be heard.

Hiccup scowled. Ever since his mother, Valhallarama's(1) death, he had to do chores around the house as his father was too busy to. Snotlout, and his friend Dogsbreath(2) before his family left Berk, had came up the lovely nickname, "Hiccup the House wife" because of that. Deciding he didn't want to listen any more, he left from the window and went to find something to eat. After eating he wrenched the door open, planning on going to Gobber's to work again.

But the sight of a Nightmare, and a cry of "Dragon Raid!", made him slam the door closed.

"Dragons." The slender boy whispered. Hicupp's heart immediately spend up in fright but he through open the door anyways and ran. He ran towards the the destruction, thinking the whole time. 'This is it! Maybe I'll able to prove my wroth! Or maybe something great well happen...'

He didn't know just how right he was...

(1)If any one here has read the book, you'd know that Hiccup's mom was in them and this was her name.

(2)Once again, in the books, Snotlout had a bestfriend named Dogsbreath.

Also don't ask me how Hiccup could hear them, he must have dolphin ears, or somethin'.
