In this story, Yoshi and Bowser just created a brand new friendship but, when Yoshi saw the cannon, they turn the cannon to a fun game.

The story begins at Yoshi's Island where Yoshi is practicing his egg throwing in his very own house when suddenly, he saw a very cool cannon in the northern direction. The cannon is white with green spots and it has Yoshi's name on it.

"Wow, I got my very own cannon!", Yoshi cheered, "And it has my name on it, I can't wait to try it out so I can be a human cannonball. I'll tell Bowser to light the fuse so I can launch myself to the target."

Moments later, Bowser came in and saw a cannon. He came to Yoshi and said, "Hi Yoshi. Wow, cool cannon."

Yoshi replied, "Thanks, I made it myself. Say Bowser, will you be the first to be launching out of my cannon?"

"Thanks, Yoshi. I love cannons!" Bowser said as he got inside.

Yoshi came to the fuse and said, "Ready for take off, Bowser?"

"I'm ready. Fire the cannon!"

"All right, Bowser, here we go!" Yoshi replied as he used his mini fire breath to light the fuse as Yoshi counts down. "3... 2... 1... FIRE!"

The cannon fired and out comes Bowser spinning in his shell and said, "Wow, this is the best cannon I've ever seen."

When he landed on target, Bowser said, "Now, that's the best move I have made, The Bowser Whirlwind."

Bowser was amazed when he landed and Yoshi said, "Nice job, Bowser. You landed right on target."

"Thanks, Yoshi. Now it's your turn to be launching out of the cannon. Are you ready?"

"I was born ready. To the cannon!"

So Yoshi got inside his very own cannon and asked Bowser, "Bowser, will you use your fire breath to light the fuse so I can launch myself?"

"It will be my pleasure." Bowser replied as Yoshi got inside, waiting for the cannon to fire. He took a thumbs up from him and said, "Ready, Yoshi?"

"Yes, light the fuse!"

"OK, here we go, you will be launched out in 10 seconds." Bowser said as he breathed fire on the fuse, burning to the cannon.

Yoshi thought, "This is it, the big moment, I will be launching out of the cannon. Here it comes…"

Bowser counts down to Yoshi's big moment as the fuse is about to reach him, "3... 2... 1..."

It all comes down to this, Yoshi is just 1 second away from firing the cannon. Bowser was waiting for the word as the fuse just reached him. He got inside to his shell. And then, Bowser said the word.

"FIRE!!!"

The cannon fired and out comes Yoshi flying across the island and landed safely on the smooth target. Yoshi shouted, "I did it, I made it to the target. Thanks, Bowser!"

"Anytime, Yoshi. Say, do you want to do it again?" Bowser asked.

"Let's go again." He replied as he got back inside.

"Here we go!" Bowser said as he lights the fuse again. BOOM! went the cannon and off goes Yoshi flying to the target and said, "Direct hit!"

And so, Yoshi and Bowser have created a new game entitled, "Fire The Cannon, Hit The Target" and became Yoshi and Bowser's favorite game in the island.

"I love this game." Yoshi said he took his position to light the fuse.

"It sure is, buddy. Now, fire the cannon!" Bowser replied.

"All right Bowser, here it comes."

The cannon fired again and Bowser said, "Perfect. Your turn, Yoshi."

"All right, I'm ready to go." he replied

"Ready… set… FIRE!" Bowser said as the fuse burned to the cannon, firing the green dinosaur to the target.

And so, they played on and on as the sun begins to set on a perfect day in Yoshi's Island.
