Do As the Romans Do
Kankuro walks through walls. Naruto walks into them.

It all starts when Naruto decides they don't need someone to guide them through Suna. "We've been here enough times," he says, "we can find our way to the Kazekage's tower."
"Really?" Kankuro asks blandly, "good luck," he calls over his shoulder as he disappears through a wall.
Naruto walks straight into it.

They say there's something strange and magical about Suna. That deserts play tricks on the poor souls who wander into them unprepared. Of course, Sakura always assumed those were just stories or expressions. She didn't think a city could actually play tricks on a person.

They walk with purpose; following a route they'd walked several times before. They quickly run into a dead end.
"Did we take a wrong turn?" Sakura asks and Naruto looks around suspiciously.
"Maybe," he decides. The pair re-trace their steps and try a different path. They run into another dead end and Naruto starts to become unsettled. The third time they run into a dead end Sakura starts to lose patience.
"I could punch my way through," she says, glaring at the wall.
"You could," Naruto agrees, "but then again that could also be someone's house."
They decide to keep walking.

Large cities are complicated with streets weaving in and out and around; but eventually you find your bearings and the structure starts to follow a pattern. Naruto and Sakura have been lost for forty minutes before Naruto starts to think that maybe the walls move.

Temari finds them eventually. Professional and mature and only the slightest bit amused by their dilemma.
"I was wrong," Naruto admits.
"Don't worry," Temari reassures them, "you're definitely not the first."
