I am so sorry that I've been offline for so long with my fanfictions! School's taken quite a lot out of me, and I've recently been busy with a production of Puss in Boots at school, and I take my studies REALLY seriously! But here's the first chapter of my One Piece fanfiction to satisfy you for a while longer! I know it's short, but keep in mind that it's just a kind of teaser for you!

Bloody Snowflake

Chapter 1: Big World, Big Dreams, One Girl

"Lepley D. Yuki! Honestly! First the tattoo, now eight piercings?"

"Is there a problem with my piercings, dad?" The teenager hissed at her father.

"Why can't you just get over this rebellious stage and become Marines like your brothers? What is so wrong with listening to your old man?" The fifty year old Marine General replied, feeling exhausted from arguing with his only daughter yet again. He rubbed his temples, reminding himself to stay calm. His six sons didn't have any problem listening to him, but his daughter just wouldn't listen.

"You just don't get it do you, dad? That life was perfect for them! They love every moment of being on base, catching pirates and doing good, but I don't want to have that sort of responsibility! Besides, you'd try to get me some sort of boring desk job! I'd never get to see any action!" The girl grumbled.

General Lepley C. Denton sighed. All of his friends told him that Yuki just didn't realize how much her father wanted to protect her. She was his only daughter after all, and he couldn't just let her go out into the world.

"You've sheltered me all my life, dad! I want to go out and see the world! I'll join some reliable people on an adventure! I'll be fine! You'll see!" Yuki told her father, "Besides, I can take care of myself! You can't act like I'm a fragile little kid anymore. I'm grown up, and I want to make my own decisions." She then turned, walking out the front door without another word, walking along the pathway down to the docks. Reaching her small boat, she untied her docked boat and set sail, tying the remnants of a red tie to her forehead, removing her bangs and revealing three more piercings on her eyebrow.

You'll see, dad. I'm going to see the world and there's nothing you can do to stop me!
