Drabble 1: Destructive Description
ONE: Pernicious [adj. harmful, destructive]
He was a walking facade of sorts. The sort you would unlikely expected his entire being would be. Kanda knew. He watched. The moment he unsheathed his precious Mugen, up until the hilt halted few milimeters away from pale forehead sheen with sweat, he knew. Allen Walker, a bean sprout, was a walking facade of bright smiles and kind reassurances.
Destruction perfectly hidden behind the title befitted to him, "Destroyer".
Kanda can testify to that. Oh yes, he knew. Allen Walker destroyed him, simply. Destroyed his resolve. Destroyed his reason. Destroyed his sanity.
The moment when Kanda fell, hard, on him, he was perniciously defeated by a bean sprout, of all sorts.
TWO: Epithet [n. A descriptive, often insulting term or name]
Some call him weird, cursed, monster, old, albino, scarred, ghostly and more. Allen can only sigh when people call him things in reference with his hair, eyes, complexion and scar. Not that he really minded it; he did not care a bit with what they think of him. As far as he knew, appearances run too superficial to take the insults into consideration. Not one name-calling ticked him off. Well, except—
"Oi, Moyashi! Stop ignoring me damn it!" shouted a pissed Mugen-loving Kanda, his partner for the mission, unfortunately.
Allen glared back at him, and gave a mocking laugh and said, "Oooh Kanda, make up your mind. You told me to shut up, now you want me to give you attention? And please, it's Allen, geez."
"Fine. Fuck off, Moyashi." hissed Kanda, giving up trying to ask his opinion about the confusing statement he read from the mission file on his hand and tightened his hold on Mugen as if wishing to unsheathe it.
Allen finally discovered it. The epithet worth of pointless headaches and rude banters.
Moyashi. Bean sprout.
But for some reason, Allen mused sometime after observing a silently fuming Kanda before him; he decided he doesn't mind the epithet. No, not at all.
Yes. Two drabbles per chapter. Until the next drabble!
Thank you for reading!
